Tara Chain Hoops

Part hoop, part chain, and a very good excuse to mix your metals.

A smooth gold bar sits across the ear with a chunky silver chain looped underneath, almost as though someone has taken a chain bracelet and shrunk it down into an earring. The chain isn't rigid, so it hangs and moves rather than holding a perfect hoop shape, which is what makes these look so good on.

The gold and silver combination is particularly useful if, like me, your jewellery has long since stopped belonging to one camp. Gold rings, silver watch, whatever is already in your ears — these make the whole mix look deliberate.

They're chunky enough to hold their own worn alone, while the open middle stops all that metal feeling too heavy visually. And if you've got multiple piercings, I'd keep everything else really simple and let the chain do the work.
