Pétanque, or boules, is a classic game for all the family which is steeped in history. A traditional game in France, it can be traced right back to ancient Rome. This Pétanque set by Babai is made up of 15 wooden balls, 12 of which are painted in earthy pastel tones and 3 left natural wood, with a cotton carry bag for storage. An outdoor activity game to get kids moving, for up to four players.
This boules set is made from FSC maple wood and painted with non-toxic, water based dyes in earthy colours. This is a great set for the garden, taking to the beach or picnic, for traditional family fun. This plastic free family game will be enjoyed by children through to grandparents. Perfect for developing motor skills, dexterity and coordination, this is a game of skill and precision.
To play – each player chooses a colour, the natural wood balls are the parent balls or ‘jacks’. A jack is rolled out and each player takes it in turns to try and get their boules as close to the parent ball as possible, with the winner being the person with the closest boules.
